  • This clinical procedure provides information on the clinical procedure for the management of extravasation of IV contrast in patients having a radiotherapy simulation scan.
  • Extravasation of contrast can lead to a medical emergency; early detection and prompt appropriate action is required to prevent necrosis and functional loss of the tissue or limb involved.
